What you can expect.
Your Responsibilities.
- Take responsibility for designing and implementing our AI strategy – from identifying suitable use cases (e.g. forecasting, procurement automation, customer service, content) and selecting the right tools/models to successfully deploying them in production
- Provide both functional and disciplinary leadership of the IT team, including prioritization, team development, and resource planning
- Take responsibility for the operation, stability, security, and continuous development of our Odoo system (ERP/inventory management) and connected systems
- Select, onboard, and manage external service providers, agencies, and software vendors
- Ensure IT security, data protection, and system availability across our e-commerce operations (online shop, interfaces, payment processing, logistics)
- Manage interfaces between Odoo, online shop(s), marketplaces, logistics providers, and other third-party systems
- Develop an IT roadmap in close collaboration with senior management and the relevant business functions (Procurement, Sales, Logistics, Customer Service)
- Independently lead and manage IT and digitalization projects, including project planning, responsibility for milestones and budgets, and stakeholder communication up to executive management level
- Take budget responsibility for IT projects, licenses, and infrastructure
- Establish and maintain IT documentation and continuously improve internal processes and automation
Your Profil
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in implementing or deploying AI applications in a business environment (e.g. machine learning/LLM-based automation, AI-powered forecasting, support, or content processes) – this experience is a mandatory requirement, not a “nice to have”
- Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of independently planning, managing, and successfully delivering complex IT/digitalization projects, including responsibility for timelines, budgets, and stakeholders – also a mandatory requirement
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification, or equivalent professional experience
- Several years of experience in an IT leadership or senior IT role, ideally within an e-commerce or retail environment
- Practical experience with Odoo or comparable ERP/inventory management systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Business One)
- Initial leadership experience combined with a collaborative and clear leadership style, including in small teams
- Strong understanding of e-commerce processes, including online shops, interfaces, logistics, and payment processinghr
- Structured, pragmatic, hands-on approach, with the ability to move from strategic concepts through to operational implementation
- Excellent communication skills at executive management level, as well as when working with business functions and external partners
- Excellent German skills and good command of Englis
